Lynne a Registered Psychotherapist, has been in clinical practice since 1983. For over 20 years she worked in the addiction field where she became aware of the underlying issues which prevents healing from the addiction. This inspired her to begin her work with survivors of sexual victimization and their partners. She developed “Understanding and Responding to Male Victimization” conferences for the Ontario Provincial Police, held in 25 venues around the province of Ontario. She and her team were awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for contribution to the community. In 2015, she also received a Commissioner’s Commendation for her role in educating police and justice partners, community support and child protection workers to enable them to address the unique and under-recognized needs of male victims. Lynne is a Therapist with “MaleSurvivor of Sexual Abuse “Weekends of Recovery”, and a trainer to a variety of groups for MaleSurvivor.org. She is certified as a Compassion Fatigue Specialist, a Traumatologist, and a Trauma Group Supervisor, as well as a Registered Psychotherapist.
