Mike is a seasoned veteran of life. He enjoys sharing his skills and knowledge as a licensed professional counselor and through his writings, workshops and presentations. It is available at www.deninger.com or from most major booksellers. Prior to earning his Mental Health Counseling degree from Gallaudet University, Dr. Mike had a 25 year career as an educator. He also holds a doctorate in Special Education Administration from Gallaudet. Dr. Mike is a Nationally Certified Counselor and he is also certified as a trainer of Eye Movement Integration, Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming. As an author and national trainer of mental health practitioners who specializes in the treatment of trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, he is prepared to assist victims of all types of trauma. During his career Dr. Mike has been a teacher, principal, graduate professor, university dean and researcher who now devotes his time and energy to his private practice in Alexandria, VA, to writing and to training other therapists in techniques designed to heal the harmful effects of trauma.
