RESOURCE DIRECTORY

“I grant we should add a third category: that of the true healers. But it is a fact one doesn’t come across many of them, and anyhow it must be a hard vocation. That’s why I decided to take, in every predicament, the victim’s side, so as to reduce the damage done.” – Albert Camus

MaleSurvivor does not provide crisis services or intervention. If you are in immediate danger, or if you know a child is in danger, please call 911.

If you would like to be added to our directory, or to alert us to broken links or outdated / updated information please email tmassa@malesurvivor.org.

Resource Directory The directory is divided into two sections. This page contains links to official US national, state, and international resources/organizations for reporting abuse, seeking assistance, and contacting with public agencies (below).

Links to other non-profits and partners in the work of raising awareness and supporting survivors are on the Partners in Healing page.

If it is not an emergency situation, contact a local rape crisis center or family services agency in your state. Many times reports can be filed anonymously, if that is a concern. For information on resources please consult our list of state agencies below.

Information provided here does not imply that MaleSurvivor endorses the resources listed. We do not have the ability to vet every organization or list every resource available to survivors. Please alert us to listings that are outdated and/or not helpful. (Sadly, there are still some rape crisis centers that refuse or are unable to provide services to male survivors. If you are told that there are no resources for you, DON’T GIVE UP! Sometimes all it takes is calling back and speaking to another person at the agency to get information. If no services are available, try contacting therapists from our resource directory in your state and ask for information on local resources. Lastly, remember our discussion forums are a resource for help.)

*** Immediately following a sexual assault, DO NOT shower, bathe, douche, eat, drink, smoke, urinate, or change clothing as this may potentially destroy evidence. If you do wish to remove your clothing, place each item in a separate paper bag to bring with you to SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) if you are activating the team, along with any other pieces of evidence. ***
