I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (Georgia license #5454), with an MA in Clinical Psychology from Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. I began working in the mental health field in Charleston, SC where I worked as a neurofeedback technician in a private psychiatrist’s office. The next year, I moved back to Atlanta to begin graduate school. I provided counseling and psychoeducation to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families during my practicum training. Upon completing my graduate training, I worked at a hospital performing emergency room assessments and providing group therapy for patients on the psychiatric inpatient unit. I recently completed a post-graduate psychotherapy residency specializing in trauma recovery, PTSD, dissociation, attachment, depression, anxiety, and couples therapy. I began private practice in December 2008.

The focus of my private practice is individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, with an emphasis on trauma recovery and the treatment of anxiety and depression. My theoretical orientation includes an eclectic framework that stems from psychodynamic, humanistic, cognitive behavioral, attachment, and trauma theories, and an appreciation of the vital connection between mind and body. I believe psychotherapy supports the development of good relationships, healthy boundaries, mindfulness, attention to balance, and empathy and respect for yourself and others. To me, the therapeutic relationship that develops between my clients and myself is central to self-discovery, healing, and change. I work to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space in which personal growth and self-acceptance are fostered.
