Hi Still,

Thank you for your suggestions. We discussed both on the last WoC call earlier this week.

1. Regarding the Law Enforcement forum, there are a number of reasons why we are not in favor of implementing this kind of forum. The major issue is that the MaleSurvivor forums are meant first and foremost to be a place of healing and way for survivors and some of their supports to connect with one another in hopes of providing support for healing work. Inviting professionals to weigh in on questions that would come up about individual cases could jeopardize the confidentiality and sense of trust that many users feel is important to that process. In addition, many professionals are bound by ethical codes of conduct that would prevent them from offering action advice on particular cases in a forum such as ours.

That said, we are certainly more than willing to post articles from law enforcement personnel that speak about these issues on the website or in appropriate parts of the forums. But our reading of your suggestion was for the creation of a forum where users could post specific questions about specific cases, and that is not a resource we feel we can provide.

2. Regarding setting up an online training service. It is something we are already investigating, as we continue to reach out to conduct more professional trainings and Dare to Dream events. At this time we don't have the resources to do so, but we will continue to add content to our YouTube Channel and someday set up a more robust resource of the kind you and others have suggested.

Best,
Chris
