you will know if or when the time is right to share it more publicly. it is powerful to the point of triggering.
one suggestion - though i'm not big on censorship - i'm an English teacher and itdrives me CRAZY when parents want to ban books for the sake of a few taboo words - i wonder if the raw and totally accurate - but not socially acceptable - words in parentheses at the beginning (title?) might be alienating to the people who you most strongly want to read and understand the rest of the poem.
just a thought.
As my life goes on I believe somehow something's changed
Something deep inside...
I've been searchin so long to find an answer
Now I know my life has meaning
Now I see myself as I am, feeling very free...
When my tears have come to an end I will understand
What I left behind: a part of me. Chicago
