im new here and just trying to post when it feels right.
Having been attacked by 'fellow' members on other threads i now choose this area.
I dont believe in god as some anthropormorphic being or as the keeper of some elite club (heaven). I think that we either carry some part of divinity hidden deep in us or there is no divinity at all. Karma seems to make sense logically, as does reincarnation. That way we make our own destinies and its not just left up to this (nonexistent) being.
Nuff said for now. Lets see if anyone attacks me here.

I can only speak for myself - to each their own. I do beleive in a God because someone has taken good care of me. As for my abuse, by a priest, I did lose faith in some kind of higher power. However I knew someone was watching out for me especially in my addiction days. Good news-bad news: we have been given 'free will' & many,many have abused that ! I know that someday they will be punished. I am not ready to forgive & maybe some 'animals' don't deserve our forgiveness.
I feel someone/something needs to be higher than me. Just my thoughts. TY for listening.

It's sad you were attacked, no one should be here as we need a safe place. As for me, I fully believe in God, heaven, forgiveness and freedom found through scripture.

I also believe that each person has to decide on their own and in their own heart what they believe, it can not be forced on anyone.

So if you believe in reincarnation, I'm curious who you think is doing the reincarnating? Or do you think it's just a natural process. Just a question as I think it's an interesting idea I don't understand.

our own self i guess... internal natural attraction or some thing we humans just DO.. natural process is a good word set.
I think we reincarnate according to our own lot of karma built up over past lives. I believe in a rest period between lives that rewards or punishes according to the acts of this life so that we are 'treated fairly' by nature for our acts and so we can forget and exhaust those memories so that we may remain ignorant of past lives' terrors and deaths or it would simply be too much to handle.
