I want to thank everybody for responding. After I settled down I got to thinking about a song that was popular in the 70's. ( at least I think it was the 70's) It was sung by Sonny and Cher and they even had a 70's version of a music video. I think the song was called "One tin soldier".
I can remember part of the song ..... and all of the chorus.
The chorus was
Go ahead and hate your neighbor
Go ahead and cheat a friend
Do it in the name of heaven
you can justify it in the end
There won't be any trumpets blowing
come the judgement day
On the bloody morning after ...
One tin soldier rode away
I still am finding it hard to put it into words the way I am feeling. The way that my church has treated me is especially disturbing. My church has told me that what my perp did to me is my problem and I MY
problem and I
need to deal with it.
How can a person that preaches love and compassion for all people dismiss the situation with a simple ....."it is your problem ..... deal with it."
I wish it were that easy. If anyone has a magic wand that they can lend me that they can wave and make the pain go away .... my I borrow it.
