Last night on TV Dateline NBC ran "To Catch a Predator III" - in 3 days they caught over 50 perps who where suducing children online - even the special forces team was overwhelmed by the amount of perps that showed up at the house - one thing is for sure... - it deffinately got a lot of peoples attention as it is all over the news media around here today

About time people started paying attention to a problem that has been out of control for decades... (of course it does nothing to bring attention to the countless children who are being perped by their own relatives - but at least it's a step in the right direction)

I sent in some comments to Chris Mathews (about the facts that more children are abused by people that they already know than are abused by strangers) - not sure if it'll get anywheres - but at least I tried...

It is hard to understand the mindset of these guys, were they serial pedophiles!
For a man to talk to a kid is a very serious offence in my mind, I could never do it.

It will not catch the clever ones who manage to get through thousands of kids without the need for internet.

Kids in the community know who the pedos are, I guess we need some way of telling them they will be listened to.

Isn't that the truth! I remember thinking that NO ONE could possibly believe me if I told, and of course if I looked around I would see no other kid who was suffering anything like this at all. Kids now at least know of the problem, but still I know a huge fear for them is the issue of the consequences if they tell: who will listen, will they be believed, will they get someone in trouble, will they be blamed. What a nightmare.

I told the police about the first incident, but I became a target for perps and knew where they lived.

I remember not even having the guts to tell those who could stop it, the police.
The weird thing that I thought was this! They will just think I am asking for it!

In the modern World of kids not talking to adults, or should I say adults not talking to kids, it is much more of a problem. When this taboo is finally broken more can be done.

I just watched another part of those vids, I was amazed at who they caught, from a teacher, doctor and even a Rabbi!
I should not have been shocked, because it is very rarely the dirty man in a mac.

Now I will have to watch what sentence is passed to them,

They put 50 guys behind bars in that third episode - and I am told that they will continue to work with PervertedJustice.com to continue to lock these people up

I got to admit that I was a bit suprised in that not a single person that they caught in that last episode was female - I know they are out there abusing...

I just wish that they would bring it out into the light as to how many kids are abused by Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas, Grandpas, and others that are already known to the child that they do not have to talk to over the internet to groom them...
