Ste,

Thanks for posting this; I had not seen the story. I hope it is followed by other similar exposures.

I keep thinking of the case of Muldoon. Imagine telling a frightened Catholic boy that if he does not work within the church he will be excommunicated! And then rigging the proceedings to make him out a liar. And all this after having his trust in his priest violated so horribly. I still find that incredible.

Larry, I PMd Tom about what happened to him.
I grew up in a similar setting where priest were always in the school.

Some priests were really great, but some were a little bit *Iffy* to me, but I had already been abused so I had awareness.

They are held in very high regard and somewhat above reproach by parents or society, as they are so pious!

I have my own story on that feeling, and I have already posted here some time ago.

Is it not that he was whisked off by the Catholic church? Or did he really just fall off the face of the Earth? I dunno that.

No money can compensate for the hurt that is done, or so I think.

Another thing to bear in mind is, all the state benefits he has had from not working will be deducted from this payment using antiquated laws in this Country.

What you win on the roundabout, you lose on the swings effect,

ste

Here's another survivor of Clonan that went public.

"Is it not that he was whisked off by the Catholic church? Or did he really just fall off the face of the Earth? I dunno that."

The UK and Australian police are satisfied that he died a lonely alcoholic in some anonymous suburb in Sydney.
