Loc: Right here
I look into the mirror, and what do I see
But all of these faces that look back at me

I ask them 'Who are you' and 'what do you do'
They respond at me 'But we are part of you'

'Why are you here' I ask the old man
With his wrinkled skin and shaking hands

'I am you' he replied, nodding his head
'I am you when you are tired, or wish to be dead'

'And who are you' I ask of the child
With the sad eyes and dark hair that's quite wild

'I am you also' he whispers in my ear
'When you are in panic and small, or otherwise fear'

There was another one, who seemed quite shy
Hiding his face, and avoiding my eye

So I singled him out, avoiding the rest
But was quite shocked to see he was Death

'Why are YOU here' I ask, 'Why do you come'
He seemed quite surprised and said 'To take you home'

'You keep calling me and want to give in' he said
Smiling quite sadly and nodding his head

Well, that changes my mind, and changes my plan
To avoid walking with Death, hand in hand

I can fight off these demons who darken my door
And battle by battle, I will win this war.

A lovely poem.

Walk hand-in-hand with your inner child.

Leo, buddy, that is an excellent poem. And I'm glad you have decided to keep fighting, and you will win, you are on of the strongest people I know, and an inspiration. Keep on fighting, and you will win, and will no longer be tormented by these 'reflections.'

Peace,
Scott

Hey Leosha, always try to remember to choose life. Then, even death is just going to a better kind of life.

Leosha,

Thanks for a great poem.

Quote:
I can fight off these demons who darken my door
And battle by battle, I will win this war.
I'm going to keep that on a card in my wallet.

Thanks,

Joe

Leosha,

Your poetry is very touching.

As Joe has said,
Quote:
I can fight off these demons who darken my door
And battle by battle, I will win this war.
is worth carrying at all times.

Thank-you,
Bill
