Wounded

Wounded Child
Crying in Corner
Lost between the years

Crying out Silently
No One Comes
No One Hears

A Prison of Silence
Surrounds Me,
Into an Early Grave.

How do I start
to Breath Again?
Am I Someone's Slave?

A Wounded Child
grows, As Does
A Wounded Man.

The Wound Becomes My Sword.
Like Tempered Steel,
I am strong again, Oh my Lord.

A Wounded Man Sat
Crying Lost
Within his Years.

Silence at last was Broken
Stattered Wounds Turned
Into a River of Tears.

A Sword of Anger Broke me out,
As I Yelled Screamed and Roared.

The Prison wasn't
Mine at Last
It Was Yours.

By M. Joseph

This is one poem I really love, because it shows the blame being put where it belongs on the perpetrator and not on me.

Michael,

That is such a great poem, with such a stunning end. I didn't expect that. It's really great tho. I like it that way. Like you say, it puts the blame where it belongs.

I wish I was more of a poet. I admire the talent. My attempts end up quite flat.

I wish you a good week, Michael.

John

Michael,

Such a powerful poem, and as John says, the ending says it all.

Much love,
Larry

The ending is the the whole point, I don't know I just write them. This was written around 2000 at 5 in the morning with another poem. They were written on paper I am not sure where the notebook is now.

I liked this poem. "Poetry enables me to say what can be said with words." I have found healing in it. Keep at it!
