Hi,
Just wanted to put this out there.
I guess a lot of us feel this way.
A Wounded Dove
---------------
You took my happiness,
and I know not laughter,
nor joy,
nor love.
You stole my childhood,
and awkwardly I matured,
ahead of time,
a man-child in the world.
You snatched my voice,
and speechlessly I exist,
without words to express,
what I endured.
You cuffed my anger,
and helplessly I roam,
tied to invisible secrets,
that I cannot reveal.
You blurred my gender,
and confused I am,
of my sexuality,
and who I am,
and what I was supposed to be,
and what I could have been,
You strangled my life,
and death will not come,
and release me,
from the cross I bear.

That was very good. Our innocence was stolen and it can never be regained but when I finally accepted that fact and forgave myself for all the years of fear and mistrust that I inflicted upon my loved ones it eased the burden. Yes it will always be there to some extent, and some things will bring back memories, but I believe there is hope for us all.
