A mind bearing forth
secrets that want to stay hidden
will not open the door to the future
to let the past blend in.
It is a guardian that imprisoned truths
and set deceptions loose unwillingly;
A witness at the mercy of my eyes,
my ears, my lips;
Prey, twisted by an insiders desires
and left to fend for itself;
A coward corrupted by missplaced shame, guilt,
ill-responsibility and saved by the honesty
and loyalty for which it lives.
It lives because it has to...
To uncover the meaning and the courage
behind a reality long lost.

"Sweet" is what I wanted to write here because I thought this was an awesome poem and really appreciated it, but decided that that might be misinterpreted, so I'll say that I thought it was beautifully written and that I enjoyed reading it very much. But right after I finished reading it the word that went through my mind was "sweet".

it doesnt insult me at all, i guess different people will always interpret it differently. I think thats what poems are all about.
