tears dropping down
like acid eating a hole
pain drills my heart
leaking out my soul
hollow shell in agony
reaching for the light
trying in vain to live
feel like ceasing this fight
lonely shadows mock me
making game of my pain
anger flows like a river
as I drown in the acidic rain
blood on my hands and eyes
obscuring the gilded trail
hoping life has meaning
knowing I am destined to fail

I can really feel a lot of what you were saying in this, the emotions feel very real. Thanks for posting it.

Good job, there is a communication in poetry like this that seems to pass all understanding. Somehow, it is heart to heart with so many of us feeling your words as if we have said them ourselves.
Sorry that you/we write of such sad stuff but getting it out proves that life has meaning and you/we are not destined to fail.
Keep that emotion pumping, keep those words flowing, there is recovery in those sentences.
