I wrote this poem in the spirit of passion week.
It should be a time of renewal in our lives, I hope someday renewal will get to us all.

Its not just men who die in war
For all those lost whose minds you tore
No toys for christmas daddy swore
No toys for birthdays not no more
It was not my fight the little boy screams
As each blow in life upon him seems
Black and blue from everywhere
Nobody there to ever care
Daddy gets drunk and hits this boy
Then he says sorry for killing his joy
Tell me about it, I hear them scream
No I will not, its not your dream
I screamed at God both day and night
For him to see his little boys plight
The fight will be over one day Im sure
Gone and forgotten till deaths door

just found a great poetry site and joined it.
There are many themes including the sadness of abuse along with the great poets.
Cannot wait to start posting stuff there,
