God is the most wonderful being you'll ever know. He's the loving father and mother you never had. He's the friend that sticks closer that a (good/nonabusive) brother. And he comes and encircles you with his arms in a nonabusive hug when you are crying alone.

And...He'd not a he or a she or an it. God is.

I know God is a matter of faith and not proof. In a way, I would be somehow saddened if anyone were to prove that God exists - there would be nothing to have faith in anymore.

But when I have doubts I turn to the psalmists, not so much out of religious conviction (though perhaps there is some of that to it) as for the sheer beauty of these ancient prayers and songs. These were people in touch with nature and they made the time needed to see and appreciate God in everything around them.

Yes he is within us all, he has proven that on many occasions in life.

We live on a planet that is a wonder to behold, it is in part of the Universe which is exactly placed to form all kinds of life.

Another thousand or so miles from the sun, and we would be ice bound, nearer, then we would fry.

He was there to listen to our cries, and he gave us tools to survive unthinkable acts dealt to us.

God is about all the smiling childrens faces, filled with happiness.
That gives me strength to know he is there,
