Hello long lost forum.
For more than forty days and forty nights I leave you to
travel on own.
A man for all seasons was a book I chose to study for my
literary English exam when I was 14yo.
I also read Macbeth.
The first book enthralled my young mind with the tragedy
amd determination of Thomas Abeckett who is now a saint.
He gave me a load of will to go on, knowing what he went
through for his beliefs and how his trusted friends turned
against him, so much so that he lost his life for his
He knew the difference between right and wrong, and he died
for his beliefs.
Can you imagine the strength and also the loss to think of
this great man of this World at the age I was!
St Martin is also worth reading on how he selflessly helped
the poor and marginalised of the World.
St Thomas Aquinas was the saint of my school and he was also
a true saint.
I so much remember how he felt sorry for these saints who
had to die for what they thought was so right, but not so
right for the wicked evil ppl who took the lives of good
men for their own satisfaction.
They surely were more noble than the men who were the gallant
knights in shining armour, and far more trustworthy than those
who chose their demise.
Those gallant knights protected the kings and Queens, but
the real valliant ones were the ones who said, NO, it is
not right that you do this.
They paid with their lives, even though Kings and Queens lov
their approach to life.
We can also say this of modern times were talented ppl are just
caste aside in favour of what modern society is really about.
It is surely the thing that let abuse happen, sweep it away,
scream about it, get the public up in arms about it.
Then hit the public with, OH, we did this and that, when they only
really made lip service to public demands.
They only touch the tip of child abuse in the UK, it costs
money and opens up wounds, not least for me.
It is a political hot potato, sweep it away and let us talk
about what good the government has done. Grrrrr....
It makes me wonder how complicit governments are.
They are constantly lobbied by people who try and tell them
how policies affect children and their safety.
If it cost money forget it, but how much is it going to cost
They could make huge savings on future expense if they listened
to survivors now.
Society would be better so much of it, and it could happen, but
only if we try,
I think this road has become too stony to tread in his World right now,
Whoever stole the Sun, put it back and we'll drop all the charges!
