Hey Daniel, You can do that by taking time out each day to sit and just breathe even if it’s only for a few minutes. Just sit comfortably, close your eyes, and breathe normally. Try though to just concentrate on your breath, in… and out. If your thoughts start running (and they will) just bring your concentration back to your breath. Sometimes it helps to count your breath, inhale counting one, exhale counting two… when you get to ten start over, and when your thoughts take over don’t get upset, just catch yourself and start back at one. Just a few minutes of that a day can do wonders but it takes a little practice. You'll find that most of my stuff is Buddhist, but that's only because that's what I'm familiar with and I've been hoping others would be offering words from other spiritual origins... So with that said, today's daily Dalai (I have a tear-off calendar on my work desk) says, Quote: The essence of Buddhism is if you can, help others. If not, then at least refrain from hurting others.
