If I could sage (internet slang for adding info without actually bumping the thread) I would, but I wanted to include my thoughts about that scene. It is very triggering, but it is actually a lot less disturbing than reality. In the movie, Kinsey yells at the pedophile and tells him that he doesn't want people like this in his study. In actuality, Kinsey not only used the pedophile's words in his study but pretended the pedophile was multiple subjects and used this sicko's responses to imply that childhood sex was normal and enjoyable. He also made no attempt to bring the criminal to justice. The movie makes it appear that Kinsey was adamantly anti-pedophile when there is reason to think he was, at best, ambivalent.
I come here now, and I see lots of anger.
I don't blame anyone for that. It is perfectly understandable.
But it is not healthy for me.
So I'm going somewhere else.
Goodbye and good healing.
