i was helping a friend on the phone -

and i hung up - trying to sleep some -

i realized this -

sometimes we need to see the evidence ourselves

that we can achieve -

and some times I need to hear it from others -

it is a good measure at times to get both -

to get it sometimes -

and to be able to see it myself -

i thought of a friend who had once said he

was tested and had no acumen for anything -

i knew it could not be true - he was brilliant -

yet i had no resource from which to draw from taht moment-

and now i look back and in the discovery of my

own ability to self appreciate - i can now

see that he could step back and see quite the achievement in his very day to day -

he had rented a beautiful apartment not too far from mine -

no one did that for him - but him -

it was decorated beautifully -

no one did that for him

- he kept it marvelously clean and hopsitabally appointed -

no one did that for him - except him -

his home was always stocked and budgeted with wonderful foods and meals planned - lovely -
lovely cook -

no one had the genius behind this but him -

i did not see a staff lurk away everytime i came over -

he was always put together - taking care -

lovely figure

and lovely hair - very resourceful -

very clear about his vision -

and so on -

so - yet the evidence was clear

in his day to day - that he managed quite well -

in fact much better than many many many -

- sometimes we do need to hear it from others -

and that is ok - and nice -

but also sometimes - like i am now of myself able -

- we need the ability to look around a little

and check in - and count - ok - evidence is -

we kind got good stuff here - and that is a good thing too - and nice to be able to do -

peace -

mark
