i've been alone - for a long time -

and i think i have concluded this -

it's not healthy -

yesterday i went out for a beer and hors d'ouevres

with a guy named John - whom I met at Woody's

He's a nice second generation English - Canadian
and just funny - and nice -

I am relaxing - it was super - and I felt as though I had emerged from the swimming pool and my ears are draining -

- I am alone today - he plans to call sometime today - but -

it's odd - I thought - how I am attracted to his personality but physically not so much -

- I voiced concerned about any relationship last night - and he said - don't over think - just see what happens -

- I have heard that a bunch lately -
sometimes - if you think you're supposed to be living a certain kind of a life - and try to control it - in all the details -

you kind of are the problem if things keep not working out -

my friend Philip said
"sometimes you kind of need to give up to the universe what you can't control - have patience and things tend to sort themselves out' -

and step aside and let your life happen - do what you like and see what happens - \:\)

so I sat thinking of John and relationships -

and it seems why do we have relationships?

to not be alone - it's not healthy -

to think i must have a certain kind of relationship - bunk

he is nice - he thinks i am great -

and that's neat - happy with himself -

and wants to be around -

that ain't bad -

we'll see what happens -

mgb,
I agree that too many times I have been my own biggest stumbling block - at work, at play; with others and by myself - because I tend to "over analyze"; to think "too much" instead of just letting the universe unfold at its own pace.
I think your friend Philip is probably right!
Good luck, bro.
Much love, etc.

Mark,

I think your own advice is the best here. Just be yourself and see how things develop. You don't need to be hurrying and thinking of a relationship after seeing the guy for the first time. Let him get used to you at an easy pace as well.

Much love,
Larry
