I'd like to share a particularly great day today--my 39th birthday

Doug and I went to Disneyland and I ended up riding in the front seat of almost all the rides, which is amazing because they assign the seats. They must have known

Anyway, I wanted a bundt cake pan shaped like a sandcastle (Williams Sonoma) and that's what I got, so here's my finished birthday cake:

Thanks to all my fellow survivors for helping me get through the past few years and for being patient with me while I learned how to live all over again with love, compassion, friendship, and most importantly, empathy for myself and others who have gone through unspeakable burdens and survived.
