Anyhow re: my PM to you earlier... I think I am the one who is suffering a delayed reaction.. I felt OK when I first heard the news and then today I am feeling kind of gross.

We had a big bad fight last night it was a bad day overall then when the news of this suicide hit us then we really lashed out. It was awful. Today I just feel really heavy and tired.

I keep thinking of the guy that is left behind and the two kids.. the kids are half-brothers so they will likely be split up (each live with their father) so that is sad too.

Yuck this whole thing is awful. However she did have some mega problems - was drowning herself in alcohol and drugs ever since I met her, her first kid in fact has some birth defects that are likely due to her smoking/drinking during pregnancy. She was in therapy though but what good is that if you are still drinking. She was a really hard person to be around, obviously very needy, very difficult. It is just an ugly situation all around.

not looking to glorify this person.. just its such a traumatic "way to go" and it is having such a ripple effect over so many people... C is having to pick up the slack for his coworker who may be away from work for a long time.. the mood is just awful at his work place now.. i am freaked out cuz I just saw this girl.. not like she was easy to be around but dammit she jumped from a high rise! Its just shocking.

I worked with a guy at a former job who went on vacation to the Carribean, drank himself into a stupor, went for a swim in the ocean, & never came back.

That happened to my first (all through university) ex boyfriend's father, except he was drunk on a fishing trip and fell out of the boat. I also wonder if it was an accident or not.

I think some people have a powerful "shadow side" to them - it's curious from "our" perspective bec., having been abused or attacked, we can find a way to attribute our mis-behavior to something outside ourselves. I haven't really given much thought lately to "dark" behavior of otherwise "normals" lately - you know - the old Nature/Nurture dichotomy....

Bottom line is: we ALL have the potential to emphasize the blessings or the curses. Some of us are better at our choices than others.
