Hello Everyone,

As many of you know MaleSurvivor has helped change my life for the better. I would not be the man I am today without this site and the people that are here. I have lived in fear for years if not for MS I would still be living in fear. I can truly say that MS has saved me from my self.

We are working towards securing funding for MaleSurvivor and I need some help from everyone here. One of the requirements for the funding is letters/posts from members of how MaleSurvivor has helped them. We are only going to be pulling key words and sentences out of your kudos post to use in our application. This application is confidential and your name will not be used. If you do not feel comfortable posting this on the forum feel free to pm me your letter.

Please post so we may help other men and boys in need.

Thanks, Nathan

untill i found this site i suffered alone and in silence .thoughts of ending it all came every day ,there was no one i could talk to nowhere to get advice or support ,i truly felt that i was the only one suffering through this nightmare . the site has shown me that i'm not alone ,that i'm not somehow dammaged beyond repair . how can i explain the value of a life taken away by abuse ,but returned by this site ,how can i explain the value of things i never had before ,like friends ,and selfworth .this site has given me back many ,not all ,but many of the things my abuser took from me. the site has become the family i never had .it has given me so many things i never had before .the site has given me a life worth living . for every survivor here there are so many more loooking for a place to belong ,to be valued ,to be cared about. for some of us this site is the difference between living and just surviving adam

What more is there to add after what Adam has just said so eloquently?

This place gave me a real sense of belonging, a knowledge that I was no longer alone. That there are others who have experienced the things I have experienced, and that together we can make it to a better place.

For me this place has given me the courage to reach out, to make friends (something I never really felt that I could do before). Sure, I had friends, but it was ALWAYS the instigation of the other party in the friendship. Now I find myself reaching out and initiating the act of friendship, both on this website, and in real life.

Thanks everyone, together we are making a difference, one person at a time.

Lots of love,

John

I am a "cheated on" partner of a survivor who until I found this site had little if any experience of understanding the effects of CSA on men.

I have moved from desperatly trying to find answers to questions that were breaking my heart, to feeling some confidence in helping others to believe that yes, it can get better. You can both thrive. I credit and thank Male Survivor for that.

MS saved my sanity and my relationship. Every time I come here I learn something new on how to deal with and relate to a beautiful man who was damaged by CSA.

It's no longer just a horror story in the paper. The men who have suffered from CSA have a face and a life. MS helps both the men and the people who love them to live that life and overcome the terrors of the past. The help and support of this community is priceless.

ROCK ON......Trish
