I just got back to CA from Mike Lew's Kirkridge weekend retreat for adult male survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I went last year and had the grand "Ah ha". I didn't have high expectations this year but it was even better. I'm still processing, I've got a lot of things to work out. I'm getting better and I'm changing. I hope that my wife will accept the different me and realize that I have to change, for me. We talked quite a bit since I've been home. Maybe it will work out, but if it doesn't, it was good while it lasted.

Stephen and Michael,
It was great meeting both of you. I had a great weekend. Learned a lot about myself by talking to others.
Stephen - Thanks again, I know I have said it numerous times, but it just doesn't seem like I have said it enough. I hope you give some thought about posting your poem on this site. IT WAS AWESOME!!
Michael - hearing you read your poems with so much emotion, gave me a whole new perspective on you and your writings. Nice job!!
To all others, Mike Lew is great. He really cares about people. I highly recommend attending one of his workshops if you get the opportunity to do so. It was well worth the time and expense. His next retreat at Kirkridge is scheduled for next year (july 12 - 14) mark it on your calendars!!
God Bless,
Brian

Hi Brian, thanks for posting the dates for 2002. I surprised myself reading my poems. The feelings were there along with the words. I learned a lot about where I am at with the abuse.
