I struggle day to day now to get by from what happened more then 25 years ago. I can't believe I'm even posting her I have only told one person my story, now I'm going to post it for the world to read in an attempt to save myself and my family. I can't believe i'm here this is really killing me. The pain inside me is unbearable. I hope it gets easier.

Welcome,
I cannot say just being here will improve your life. However, we are all here to help you as you make your journey to healing. The road is rough and full of twists and turns, but this is a place to turn to for moral support.

I am truly sorry you are in need of this place, but I can say from personal experience that the men here are a wonderful help. I know how difficult it is to tell strnagers your truth, but it is all a part of healing. Things will happen that make you question why you are trying to heal a wound so old, but the only way to heal is to go back and confront your demons.

We are always here for you, day or night. Never be afraid to ask us for help or advice. Many of us have been there/done that and will be glad to offer whatever help we can along the way. Again, welcome here, and I pray your path to healing is a short one!
Casey

Welcome to Male Survivor. Like you, I kept my abuse hidden from everyone for 25-26 years. I finally told my wife 5 years ago. That alone helped, but finding and coming regularly to this site has helped me more than anything I've done so far to deal with these issues. I was afraid when I first came here, but I read the posts and realized that these guys would be able to help me. They understand you here.

Work at your own pace. You aren't in some kind of race. Read and post at a pace that you are comfortable with.

If you ever need to chat, drop me a PM.

XJ, I am sure you must be feeling light already by letting all out.

You can't imagine the pain you have realeased from your system by taking the bold step. So keep releasing my friend.

The Good news is that the worst is already over.

Welcome to here. You have already taken a hard step, you have found this site, and you have posted the first time.

It IS possible to gain control of all this, to look at the past with less fear, less sadness, and more acceptance and resolve to make our future better. It will still be hard. It will still be painful. It does not get better with a snap of fingers. It does take time, work and effort. But better is possible. Healing and healed are possible. Easier is possible.

Please use this site for the support and understanding you need, and I hope you will feel accepted here.
