I have friend who is abuse survivor, in family mostly but also some other things. We do not have site as this in our language. One person here who think their story is similar, he tell me to translate his story so that my friend can read it and know he is not alone, and that it do get better. He know he is not alone, he have me and another person to help him with this. But he do not be so lucky to be able to be 'here', or somewhere like it.
My question, if sometime there is post that seem it will help him (not survivor stories, I would not do those at all), is it all right here with people to translate certain posts of certain things to him? Things that are like what he is feeling right then, or of someone else who have same kind of abuse in history, how they deal of it or what they do to be better.
I am not here to write so much, but this place still help me, and some of the people I meet here, still are much help to me, everday. I just want my friend to be able to have same help.
Thank you.
Andrei

Androsh,
I would have no problem if oyu let your friend read anything I wrote, or better yet, let him sit with you at the computer and you can translate for him so he can chat and post too. Tell your friend, "hi" for me.

Andrei,
If there is anything in my past that can be used to help another - then by all means please use it!
I wish that there was a site in your own native language - but perhaps your friend will be able to learn enough english over time to come here - as you did...
Take care,
TJ jeff

There's a great website for translation - it's about 90% accurate: http://translation.lycos.com YOu or your friend can copy and paste the text into it and translate into Spanish, French, German or Italian. It may be a valuable tool for you. As far as my postings, absolutely use them if they will help someone else. Sophiesdad

I often think that many people do not have access to help because they do not speak english. It is sad that they cannot get help they need, but I think it is OK to translate things for him, to help him through,

Seems that the experiences are never unique, there is always someone here who has experienced what another has.
I suspect that based upon your name that the language could be such as Cyrillic (Russian, etc) and it will not post on many message boards as our characters are "Roman".
I have friends that are Russuan or as my familiy Croatian-American. Most of my family understands spoken Russian to a fair degree.
What I am saying is I can perhaps get a friend to translate.
Also remember that there is no country that does not have a community here in America. Sure we are Americans but many like me had parents and granpartents from Europe and Asia.

Andrei - we post on this forum to help ourselves and anyone else that comes here. If someone cannot read what is written here, but they have a friend such as yourself that can translate for them, then that is a good thing.
Please translate anything that you read here to help your friend.
You are a good friend Andrei!
Best wishes...Rik

Andrei - what I forgot to add to the previous post:
If your friend has questions to ask, please feel free to ask them for him.
Rik.
