AN INVITATION FOR MALE SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL TRAUMA TO PARTICIPATE IN A SURVEY ON ABUSE AND SEXUAL IDENTITY AND SEXUAL BEHAVIORS

We are seeking males who have experienced sexual trauma during childhood and/or as an adult to participate in a survey. This survey is designed to gather information for a book chapter that is scheduled for publication in 2016. The focus of the chapter will be on "The Impact of Sexual Trauma on Sexual Identity and Sexual Behaviors."

We are soliciting participation from males who meet the following criteria:

-You currently identify as male AND
-You are over 18 years of age AND
-You are a survivor of sexual trauma during childhood and/or as an adult AND
-You are currently - or at any time in the past - identify as Gay, Bisexual, Queer, or Questioning OR
-You are currently - or at any time in the past - participating(-ed) in consensual same-sex behavior but do not identify as Gay, Bisexual, Queer, or Questioning

This survey is not designed to sway anyone to any particular judgment or outcome. Our intention is to gather a spectrum of experiences and information about how male survivors who identify as GBQQ or who engage in consensual same-sex sexual behaviors have been impacted by sexual trauma.

We respect the CONFIDENTIALITY of everyone who chooses to participate in this survey. Because we are not asking for the names of any respondents and utilizing Survey Monkey, an online tool that does not track any personal information about you. Confidentiality will be insured to the extent that any narrative comments do not include any uniquely identifying information.

This survey will remain open until September 1, 2015 - so we encourage you to complete your participation as soon as you are able.
