I just wanted to say hello to everyone and let you all know I'm here. Not yet sure where to go from here though. I found this site a few weeks ago and have been reading some of the topics since. I want to start writing down some of the issues I'm facing but have not been succesful so far, I'm hoping that this little introduction will get me started somehow.

Welcome to a place of safety and healing. We all "get it" because we've been there, and somehow survived long enough to arrive at the next phase, that of recovery, surviving to thriving. The men on this site have your back and will always be here with words of wisdom and support. Heal well.

Peace, Paul

Welcome frn73,

Love your icon. We had a pet squirrel when I was a kid that we raised from a baby after he fell out of the nest. One of the happier memories of my boyhood. Thanks for reminding me that there were some.

Be well,

Well, I won't back down
No I won't back down
You can stand me up at the gates of hell
But I won't back down.

Welcome. It is a place to find support and understanding. Take your time, post when you feel comfortable. People here will not judge, we all have lived lives that were impacted by sexual abuse. It is hard to let the past out, we have worked so hard to hide it, not to share it, and sadly allowed it to control us.

Letting the secret out, is the only way, at least for me, to heal and regain control of my life. Remember, what works for one, may not be the same for another.

I'm sorry for the reason you are here, but I am glad you found us. We all share a past that is hard to deal with, but amongst people who understand life becomes easier. Welcome. Share what you want when you want, there is never any pressure.
You want courage
I'll show you courage you can't understand
The pearl and silver
Resting on my night table
It's just me lord, pray I'm able
I am the nothing man.

Thank you all for welcoming me to MaleSurvivor. I'm not doing so good lately. This past week I've been having panic attacks in bed again just when I'm about to fall asleep, and it kind of worries me because it has been quite some time since the last time I had those. Also my dreams are getting scarier and border on nightmares. I basically have a deep rooted fear or better yet terror that never leaves me, I just continue to run from it by method of distraction, i.e. TV/movies, food, porn and masturbation.

I have made progress in certain areas but I've come to the conclusion that the fear/terror just clings on to something else instead. I wanted to reply to you guys sooner but it's really hard for me to get myself to write this stuff down. Communication in general is already a challenge for me as I'm quite a loner, albeit not completely by free choice if you know what I mean.
