Once you hear the details of victory, it is hard to distinguish it from a defeat.

I borderline belong in this category, but despite being a member of MS for many years I've never really opened up much. My abuse was at about 15-16, with my abuser only a year or two older, and even here I find it pretty much impossible to open up for fear of judgment. We're never going to get much public understanding because its like advocating for the fate of the spotted endobacterial on Jupiter. Its just too foreign for most people to get.

You are right people need to respond to each other. I am sorry I admit I have not been following this forum closely. I realize every victim despite age and gender of perpetrator needs support and compassion. Violation is violation. Sometimes I get lost in the Males Survivor forum.

I am glad you are here and please let out your anger and rage. Sharing your story helps you to heal, you no longer bury it within. I understand affirmation that you are being heard is also important. Thank you for reminding us of the need to acknowledge our support of each other.

all i did was read posts for years before i was comfortable enough to contribute.

but once i started communicating... i could't quit.

it feels great to express emotions.

i highly recommend breaking the silence.
