Well most of you know Im haveing a very hard time with my SA right now. To add to that I'm also in the middle of maybe losing my apartment because the neighbor's below me are filing lies about my family to the landlord, and they are taking these complaints as gold. Well to top all of this off, you'll never believe what happened today. My son's (13 and 15) were caught stealing from a store here today, and brought home by the police department. So not only do I have to fight this shit with my landlord now I have to deal with the courts on them stealing. The police officer told them that the courts will let them make payments in order to have a lawyer there for them, but perosnaly I think they dont need one. They did it, they should tell the judge they did it, and face what ever he feels is just for them. Now this is the first time we have had this type of problem out of them so I dont think it would be to harsh. Just what I need more fucking stress.

13 and 15. yeah your on the right track. this is probably the best thing you can do to teach them to not do it again. the naighbor sounds like a busy-body, try not to let it get under your skin. if anything you can feel sorry for him or her because they have so little going on in his/her/it's life.

James - Do you have Public Defenders in Montana? My suggestion is to use the Public Defender (court appointed juvenile lawyer) to be sure everything is fair. Most times there is no problem. Occassionally, the courts go haywire and some weird stuff happens. The boys can still "admit" (plead guilty in juvenile court language) but I've seen the best meaning parents trying to do the right thing and (boom) the court goes haywire. BTW - been involved in the juvenile justice system for almost 20 years.

It sounds very hard for you right now, I am sorry all this happens. I do not know what to say or how to advice about the living arrangement, but I do hope that you find a better situation soon. As for your children, I think it is great, what you say! Yes, they did it, they are to face consequences of that action! That is what a good father does, to teach the right and wrong, not with violence or anger, but by setting the rules and enforce them. I hope that when things are over with them, life becomes less stressful for you. Wish I could tell you advise of what to do, but I do wish you best.
