This film is about the dancing boys of Afghanistan, it is one of the few cultures in the world where the sexual abuse of boys still has some cultural acceptance, the practice also happens in parts of Pakistan. It has a musical tradition and has been going on for centuries.

The film is shocking and very triggering, the abusers are very open about what they do.

Thank you Rustam for this post.

An additional reference is the movie: Kite Runner

I understand the author of the book has produced a sequel. I don't know the name of it.

I hate to obscure the original post in this thread, but I want to add this information on the author of Kite Runner and his other books.

Here is a link to Khaled-Hosseini, the author of Kite Runner. He has a page in Amazon. His picture is posted there. The book has been made into an excellent movie. After you see Kite Runner you will understand why I am enthusiastic.

Rustam and Pufferfish,

I really appreciate you guys posting these. I'm sorry to admit that I often fail to remember that we have fellow survivors beyond Canada, the U.S, and Europe. Thanks for posting these as it reminded me to keep them in mind.
Will certainly see about viewing the films you recommended.
