MaleSurvivor Weekends of Recovery are open to any man, 18 or older, who has been sexually victimized as a child and/or as an adult.

"For the first time in my life I didn't feel alone."

Those are words heard over and over again by people who attend a MaleSurvivor Weekend of Recovery. As survivors, many of us struggle with feelings of shame and stigma that keep us isolated from one another. By connecting here, on the website, you have taken the first steps to breaking through the isolation and through the pain to begin a journey of healing. For more than 10 years, at over 60 retreats, over 1000 men and women, survivors and therapists, husbands, wives, and partners have come together to help support one another as we embark on those healing journeys.

Hope Springs Institute is the location of our first Level I Weekend of Recovery for 2016. Hope Springs is located in the solitude of the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in the small rural southwestern Ohio town of Peebles. Hope Springs offers a combination of colorful, very comfortable housing and 130 rolling acres of ridges, ravines, wooded acres and meadows, including two ponds, walking trails, wildflowers, wildlife, a campfire circle and a labyrinth. Hope Springs offers groups a chance for discovery and practice, for privacy and company, for safety and challenges. You can visit their website at www.hopespringsinstitute.com

A variety of accommodations will be available, and we’ll have space for 24 men for this weekend. This weekend is one of our most popular weekends, so we encourage you to register early if you are interested.

"The weekend gave me an opportunity to share my experience with others and break out of my isolation. It reminded me that being a victim is a choice and that I can choose to be a survivor instead."

"This weekend provided me with the tools I needed to begin my recovery journey while offering me a safe, comfortable, supportive environment to experience the wide array of emotions that hit me over the course of the weekend."

WOR NEW THIS YEAR
Starting this year, we are eliminating early registration discounts for the Weekends of Recovery.

Along with this change, registration for all weekends will open 4 months ahead, and will close 1 month before the weekend begins. In the past, we have accepted late registrations, however starting in 2016, we will no longer be able to accept such late registrations. We must give our staff adequate time to prepare to be at the weekend, and it is necessary for them to know one month ahead about their participation. Hopefully, this will also give each of you that full month to prepare emotionally as well.

We have reduced the number of Level One weekends to 3 this year instead of 4; so we encourage you to register early to save your space.
