Welcome to MS. I'm sure you will find some cultural barriers, but beyond that there is much we all share. I wish you well in your healing journey.

Be well,

Jude

Welcome, fff123! There's a lot here on the MS site to help, and a lot of very supportive people as well. Glad you found this community.

Hello fff123,

I am sorry for your reason to be here, but glad for you that you have found us.

The road toward recovery is difficult enough in western culture, so I applaud your courage in taking healing steps in, what I perceive to be a much more difficult circumstance.

Speak your truth, when you are ready, and we will be here to support you along the way.

Welcome and keep well.

Thanx all for encouriging. There is as many abusers/rapists present in our society as anywhere elase even in my Pashtun(pathan culture)it goes back to centeries by the name of bacha bazi but its kinda taboo subject everyone knows but no one talking.Problem most we survivors faced that everyone count us in same line with our abuser/rapist and that thinking make very hard to gain help.I only wish it soon change here too.i like to give help others as much i like to get myself

i admire your courage in coming forward.
i grew up in a macho suburban culture and it was impossible for male SA survivors to be open and honest.
too much social stigma.
it wasn't much better for females either.
there will always be a "blame the victim" mentality in every society.
it is hard for humans to identify without direct experience.
even survivors have a hard time with empathy because it feels "vulnerable" and "weak"... which is scary.
