Hi guys. Since I've been here, I've seen a few "show your" threads, such as Show Your Pets, started by Anomalous, and Show Your Pad, started by me. "Show Your Pad" didn't exactly go anywhere. This probably won't either, but its' worth a try.

This is my 2009 Toyota Yaris. Yeah, it's no big, bad muscle machine but I love this little car. cool

Yes, I know the Falcons suck this season. You don't have to remind me. blush

No, I don't exactly try to hide the fact that I'm a huge nerd, as is evidenced by my Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Legend of Zelda decals. Love the LOTR one especially.

Probably my favorite decal, added only recently. Not sure people outside the US will get this, because I'm not sure the trend of putting little stick figure family decals, indicating the number, gender, and approximate age of the people in your family on your car has caught on outside the US. Otherwise, this is a pretty funny decal. laugh

So, if you feel up to it, show your ride!

this was the last car of mine that i ever cared about.

i rolled it and sold it.

Pontiac Acadian Canso 2 Door Hardtop (mine was 1967 with a 327)

below is exactly my ride but in red (mine was black as above).

i actually loved that car.

cry just could not afford to drive it, fix it or keep it. frown

that was about 20 years ago.
i did not own a car for the longest time after that.
had a few tour vans, but they were just tools.

after i had kids, it was mini-van time.

not one of those vehicles is worth viewing.

My ride:

1999 Subaru Forester

http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/...an-73b2ba37.jpg

NOTE: The above image is NOT my car, but rather is just a representative picture. My car is never that clean and mine has a Yakima bike rack on top. wink

This car is hands down my favorite car out of all the ones I've owned. It handles great, it has huge cargo capacity, and gets decent gas mileage. The AWD is great up here in the winter.

As you often do Falcon, a subj near and dear to my heart.

This is Dorothy. Her title says she started her life in Kansas and she's not in Kansas any more. Stock Y2K model - that makes her 14 - with a fat German V8 and 12mpg city/20 hwy.

Though the compliments on her are gratifying - anyone relate to this? - my biggest satisfaction is keeping her in brilliant condition, even had a local cop on his 7-Eleven break asking a lot of questions (engine, original paint, etc.) and drooling over her in the parking lot.

Beautiful car! I've always had a soft spot in my heart for German cars. I prefer mine a bit older (pre-1990s). My dream German car is a 1978-1984 Mercedes 240D. However, maneuvering that boat through snow drifts would be challenging. RWD is not conducive for life in the snow belt.

Although I could get a BMW 325ix...

Hi Guys. Thanks for participating! I didn't think anybody would. Nice shots. VV that Pontiac Acadian Canso looks like one bad-ass machine. Sweet.

Yeah, it's great little economy car and it has a surprising amount of zip when you press the accelerator. I once ran into a guy who was a traveling salesman and he said he got 250,000 miles out of his without ever having to fix it. He must have done an awful lot of driving as a traveling salesmen because you wouldn't think that Yarises have even been around long enough for someone to put 250K on one but that's what he said. I only hope and pray I have the same kind of luck with mine. I'm going to need it. Peace,

Ken

I have a soft spot for the 1980-85 Mercedes 300D. A diesel mechanic told me that engine will go toe-to-toe with the large Cummins engines in over-the-road trucks and Greyhound buses. It is just about bulletproof.

My parents had a 1983 300D when I was a kidů.gray with 'palomino' beige leather interior. I almost bought one for $2,100 a few years back---"only" 188K miles---maintained by a Delta Airlines mechanic. I wish I had bought it since they have actually gone up in value since then. Oh well.

Btw: My first car was a 1976 BMW 2002. We bought it from a neighbor for $3,500. It was white with blue interior---4-speed manual transmission, manual crank sunroof, non-working A/C, and 90,000 miles on the clock. I sold it six years later for $4,000 so I could buy a Toyota 4-Runner...and have regretted it ever since.

44 mpg....thought about cutting off the hatchback, adding a rollbar and mag wheels.....but that'd cut me down to 37 mpg.

Love the Metro. My sister had a 91. It had the three cylinder with a 5 speed.
