I gave up coffee almost three years ago. I do not know why but once the nightmares, flashbacks, PTDS and dissociation kicked in I somehow just had the need to stop drinking coffee. Did it help I do not know but since I have been healing I have not returned to coffee

I attended one of the Los Angeles MS support group meetings once. There, one member said he was always to never go out Hungry, Tired, Angry and something else.

I have discovered going out like that can and will cause some serious upset and possible fear and rage.

So I think coffee would be a tough thing as well.
We all had to SURVIVE by different and unique means. Only God truly knows what we went through.

I have read where stimulants can aggravate PTSD. I am still coffee free and had turned to green tea but now if I have three cups a week it is a lot. I have not been troubled as in the past with the nightmares and flashbacks. Is it the lack of coffee or is it just the progression in healing--I do not have the answers. I still have nightmares but the intensity is less piercing and debilitating. I do not have any desire to return to my old coffee habits. I do not want to chance fate. Strangely I never had a cup of coffee until I was 26 years old and then I started to drink several cups a day.
