Found this site last week after struggling for years on my own to try and forget and move on from the abuse that happened to me as a boy. Still not sure what to do here what to say what I am ready to share but. Still pretty confused but at least my dark place now is not so dark.

Hey Chris welcome to MS. Sorry you have to be here, but you have found a good supportive place and community to work through your healing. It takes courage to register and post your introduction. Take your time. You set the pace. No matter what issues you are struggling with there is someone here willing to help. That is what i have found over the last six months i have been here. Welcome.

Welcome Chris.
I came here a short 3 months ago after years of trying to deal with it on my own as you have.
It was the best decision I've made in a long, long time.
Take your time, speak your mind when you feel like it.
I never imagined I would have learned so much and come so far.
Have patience with yourself.

yeah, Chris -

dealing with it on our own doesn't work - and neither does forgetting - in the long run - as you have learned. and the confusion is perfectly understandable - a normal response to an abnormal situation.

and far from being alone - there are thousands of us in this same boat with you. welcome.

let us know how we can help.

Welcome--I know how difficult this step can be. Remember you need to feel safe and comfortable with what you share. It is a process. We all move at different paces.

We are here for you--when you need to vent please call on us and when you move ahead share and we will share in you achievements and lift you when you are down--we all have been there and it takes people to get us to a place that is healing for our inner being.

Sorry you need to be here--but you have found a wonderful supportive group.

Welcome Chris,

I'm glad you found MS. It's a great resource to those of who are trying to deal with abuse. Of course I'm sorry you have to be here in the first place...but I hope you find that it is a safe forum to discuss what is on your mind.

I spent years pushing down those feelings of what happened to me. It worked well until it didn't...and that is where MS has helped tremendously. Share as much or as little as you are comfortable with...on your timetable.

Hi Chris,
I'm happy you've reached out and started your first recovery steps. Chatting with you yesterday was very helpful to me. Thanks for your support.
