Hi - I've been a member of Male Survivor for some time but have only now decided to introduce myself on this Forum. I look forward to connecting with other men who are learning to live a healthy life with the scars of childhood/adolescent abuse.

Welcome. It is a great place to help you heal from past CSA. I am glad you introduced yourself. Post what you feel safe to share, take you time and remember we are here for you. We do not judge because we understand the effects of CSA.

Keep well

Kevin

Thank you, Kevin and Obi. I don't know if it's appropriate to post more here in this particular discussion thread, but I'm glad to have reached out. I've been coming face to face more with long-term effects of my abuse recently, particularly in relationship with my wife following our sexual intimacy, and it's reached a pitch where I know I have to seek support. Contacting therapists today.

Hi Ben,

Welcome to the club nobody ever wanted to belong to! We're all here for each other, and there's a gigantic amount of stuff on this site to digest. Plus, there's always the chat room.

Good job on taking the difficult step of finding a therapist. I've only had one myself for about 8 weeks, and I had to go through a couple before I found the right one. My wife and I were having lots of intimacy issues (related to my csa) before I started with my therapist and came to the MS site, so I have a sense of where you are.

Best of luck and again, welcome. You now have nearly 12,000 friends who all want to see you get past your csa and move forward.

Bob

Hello and welcome to ms

Welcome NFB,

I'm in VT, we're neighbors. Sorry we have this other matter in common. Geez, lurking since 2008? Glad you've come into the open, and are seeking help.

Why do men wait till a crisis to get help?

Hi, NFB, from Maine,

Welcome to MS. Here you will recieve compassion, understanding & hope from your brothers (fraternal) & friends in pain.

We all have been there into the depths of our soul & hell too.

We will hear your cries. We will help in your fears & we will share in your tears.

You already know about that emotional roller coaster ride of your life.

Great courage coming here.
MS has a lot to offer, your fraternal brothers, here. There are twice weekly healing circles, Sundays & Wednesdays.
There is open chat & you can even have a private chat.
Then there are PM's (private messaging) between two persons.

There is a wealth of information in this site from others posts & concerns like you might have. You can choose & pick what is of a help for you.

Then along with that therapist that you are seeing there are numerous books about healing & finding that lost boy/adolescent within you.

So, my fraternal brother, NFB, from a Boston boy/man transplanted to Texas, welcome aboard.
You are on your way in healing.

"I will take that lost boys hand, and i will lead him from the depths of darkness, into the sunshine, forever into eternity." As he is me.

Pete..Irishmoose.
