well, that lil' boy in me came out for a minute...

i'm eating cereal for lunch. basically to finish off the box.

as I poured out the last of the cereal into the bowl, obviously, the little crumbs/sugar empty out of the box as well...

that is when that lil' boy came out and I licked my finger and stuck it into the crumbs/sugar pile that was there to have it stick to my finger. then I licked off the crumbs/sugar from my finger...

ahhhhh... thanks to that lil' boy for giving me some comfort today from all the overwhelming stress I have right now..
live another day. climb a little higher.

Hey Obi,

Thanks for sharing this! It really brought a much needed smile to my face today. I used to do the same thing, so it was probably my little boy smiling at your post.

Hope you can get rid of some of that stress in your life and let him come out and play more often.

Thanks for sharing - I think your next box of cereal should have a toy in the box! Do they even do that anymore?

I appreciate the times the little one comes out without sorrow - he's great fun around my own sons!

I have to survive and I hope to thrive.

Your words create a really neat mental image. Thank you. Also, if there's any way you could scan that photo we would love to see it.

I have a fun photo taken of me fishing in a mountain stream in Colorado when I was 5 or 6. My Grandfather took me fishing in the Big Thompson. Yes that's the river that recently flooded. But it's not normally flooded and it spreads out into shallow areas where the water is cool and clear and good for trout.

my little guy got distracted today when taking out the trash - just as he used to do while walking home from school - by looking at the pretty fallen leaves.
