I attended a Weekend of Recovery recently, and realized I was missing the key to my recovery: a community suport of men who support, understand, relate and identify. I'm so grateful this site is here for me as I take my first steps toward connecting with other survivors.

This site has been a lifeline for many--it allows us to share with and support each other in the bad times and to encourage and cheer successes on the healing journey. I know it helped to save me as I lived in an unhealthy environment, as least for a victim or one trying to survive, that could have killed me if it was not for the support of MS, people and other support groups.

Welcome and share when you are ready and feel safe.

Kevin

LEE! Hi my friend! I'm looking at the avatar for my little boy you gave me this weekend right now. You're an amazing man and helped me a lot. Thanks for the welcome to the forum.

Hi Scott,

I've been here about two weeks now and it is the lifeline I needed. I had never talked with another male survivor before, and at 64 am understanding myself as I never have. The support of people like me is making me feel so much less crazy and more comfortable in my own skin. I hope this place is as meaningful for you as it already has been for me. WELCOME!.........Don

Community, connecting with healthy, progressive recovery survivors who want to reach out to support, that is so wonderful. Welcome thevision, starting with a WoR is a great way to begin this journey.

I look forward to your shares, stability and progress on the site,
Sam

To all who have provided such a warm welcome:
You can probably all relate to how scary it can be to reach out, so your kind words and encouragement really help. Thanks so much.

Welcome Scott.

It was a big frightening step for me to attend WOR as well, but found a ton of wisdom, courage, and support from the survivors who attended - including you. Even though I wish this community did not have to exist, it is healing to connect with people who understand the challenges you face. I am confident that you will find support here and that others will get to know you as the amazing man you are.

Much Love,
Matt

Atari,
I'm feeling at home already, especially with the number of WoR friends who are here.

My thanks to you, too. Your courage and empathy made a huge difference in my weekend.
