The road to my house. One lane, no pavement

Colbern's General Store. The Post Office is inside next to the canned goods. The bank is also inside, next to the meat counter.

A view of the village. Not much there but the General Store and a white church

Beautiful Stuff. I love New England. When I was little, my parents used to take us up to Lake Sunapee, NH at least once or twice a year. I've also had the chance to visit coastal ME several times where my grandparents used to have a home on Penobscot Bay near Camden. There is no sight in the world like the sight of the leaves changing in Autumn in New England.

(The only thing I don't like about New England is the Pats. LOL!)

Not to be contrarian or anything, but on my one visit to the UK, I had a chance to visit the Lake District and there was nothing but space up there. Also one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Peace,

Ken

Ken - you have a point the lake district is beautiful, I guess that living in the south of England on the outskirts of London its easy to forget.

New England in the autumn does look almost magical though, the colours are incredible

What a picturesque community - the epitome of small town Americana. It resembles a very Norman Rockwell-like quality that we wish our childhoods were like, but which, as we painfully remember, was often far from it.

It looks like the fall colors bring out the best in your town. Enjoy
