I interviewed a leading researcher with a biotech center studying the Hepatitis B virus. He is a major player in both viral hepatitis and AIDS research and maintains that AIDS has gone essentially from a death sentence in the 80's to a manageable disease today, much like diabetes. He considers Hepatitis B more dangerous due to the decreased ability of doctors to manage the course of that disease.
