Hi,

The first post is always such a difficult one for me. I would really just like to tell you a little bit about myself.

My name is Jim. I am 33 years old, married with 3 children. I am a survivor of childhood sexual and physical abuse and am having a hell of a time dealing with the same issues that I see so many of you address in this forum. Compulsion is a big problem for me. I have major trust issues as well. I really feel like I need to open myself up a bit and try to make some friends, yet at the same time I push people away. These are some of the things that I am saddled with right now.

From what I have seen here, this seems like a good place to be. I look forward to being able to offer and receive support from the members here.

This site can be of help at times, it has been for me, to understand myself better, and if it has been a help for others, great.

I know of the times I've been abused and the way I learn to deal with the memory's of the events at a young age of my life and the way I think today as an adult has been effected by me, then.

Today I have triger's that bring up old memory's but have re-learn my re-actions.

It wasn't easy, where I have a good PWB, feeling's, but all the same I'm greatful to share if I can.

Welcome to our site. I think you will find that this is a safe place to express yourself. There are a lot of supportive people here. For 25 years, I thought I was a freak. When I found this site a month ago, I realized their are many people out there who have the same feelings and fears that I do. It's really nice to know that you're are not alone.

It seems that there are a lot of new poeple here and that makes it a bit less awkward for me. I have tried to post at some other sites but it is tough sometimes when you are new. I am hopeful because it does not feel like that here.

Welcome, this is a good place, lots of good people here. I am 46 seperated with four kids, 13, 6, 6 and 4 i could relate to all you said and then some.

Take your time and go at your own pace, you will get good feedback here, i like it here.

Welcome, Jim, I am new here as well, having only found this site about 3 weeks ago. I am a survivor of sexual abuse from my early teens, now married, and aged 40.

i guess its time for me to step to the plate and say welcome, with 3 kids of my own and 20 yrs of marrage, and around 2 yrs working on this to, i would say your admittion is like mine i have and do still feel that way all the time,maybe im not alone do you think, i got hit by the train at 8 yrs old and sometimes still am... good luck.
