For a moment, I saw what recovery looked like. I've had a few of these moments before, but after forgetting them, I have accepted these moments of insight will pass.

I'm writing this one out to share here before I forget it again.

That my happiness will never come from falling in love.

That my happiness will not come from having a circle of friends.

That my happiness will not come from having a family.

My happiness will come from my defining myself against all the odds of being a reluctant loner.

My happiness will come from my dismissing everything that society taught me who I was supposed to be, and what things I am supposed to value.

My happiness will come from pursuing my passion and expressing what is in my heart, then offering that to share with the world.

My happiness will not come from anywhere in the universe than from my heart.

I know I'll forget this, so I wrote it out and shared it with you.

When you take this realization into your dream state, you will find your team rallying around your coach.

Recovery is possible. Hang in there, brothers.

Great insight Magellan. I agree that the answer to our needs is often right inside ourselves. May you find the happiness within AND without.

Yay. This is beautiful.

Thanks, Magellan, for lifting me.

I won the moment he hurt me, because he poisoned his soul, and I did not poison mine. I did not hurt anyone. He did. He was the perp. He tried to make me into a victim, but I became a survivor. Yes.
