I watched the movie Silent House a couple nights ago. I had no idea what it was about, but I thought it looked like a horror flick so I put it on. It may be TRIGGERING for some/all of us but I thought I should post about it here. It is about remembering forgotten CSA. However, I think it's worth a watch if you are interested.

If you found it worthwhile, I'm glad. I feel like it is one of those movies that uses CSA as a catch-all excuse to show violence and psychosis, rather than actually being about the real horrors of CSA and the real struggle to recover memories. In short, I feel its exploitative of CSA rather than a true investigation of it. But that's my opinion and if it has some value for others I'm very glad of that.

It certainly didn't investigate anything & wasn't much about the real horrors... But I found it an interesting look into the mind of someone suffering & starting to remember but not recognizing it until the end. I found the ending satisfying. I'm not saying it was a fantastic movie, but the performance of Liz Olsen was pretty good.

Never heard of the Wallflower one. Will have to check it out... Thanks.

Another CSA type movie was An American Haunting. Anyone have thoughts on that one???

See my thoughts above. Both films were based on pre-existing stories and the CSA was added in because hollywood thinks its a good excuse for people acting nuts.
