I hope all of you are alright there and that nobody in your circle was affected. Terrible.

Yes, terrible. What is to gain in hurting innocent people, ripping parents from children, tearing at the fabric of families and friends?

Someone was paid, someone purchased the supplies, someone planted and set off the explosives. Their loved ones were safely away, you can bet on that. No one would want to have this happen to them, yet some would create this catastrophe for money.

A shame, a tragedy, a waste, my heart hurts for those who have to endure this,

This shocked me a lot... not only because I find the whole concept of deliberate killing or injuring innocent people incomprehensible, but even more so because I am a marathon runner... I can so vividly imagine running up to the finish line and the emotions that usually go with that... the last thing you expect to find there is death and destruction!

The thought of athletes with their limbs blown off... OMG. I can't even make my mind go there.

What a terrible, terrible tragedy! My heart aches for everyone who was affected...

How do I check on the status of a neighbor who was at the marathon? The Red Cross and local websites are not usable.

One way is to use the Person Finder that Google set up yesterday.
