the more things happen
the more things don't

the more things come
the more they go

the more light there is
the darker it gets

the more joy you find
the more sorrow you feel

the more you're nourished
the more you starve

the more you speak
the less you're heard

the more you listen
the less they say

the more you try
the more you fail

the more you earn
the less you're paid

the more you suffer
the less they notice

the more you get
the less you keep

the more you love
the more you lose

more or less

Edit Reason: I should never have posted it ... I am very uncomfortable with the idea that my thoughts are up there for all to see and forever ... i just want to take it ... sorry ... did that once before and I'll never do it again

Good for you Shy Shark, progress is painful, but it's reward is stability if we keep on the healing path. What happens when the bottom lines are exchanged with the top lines? Like recovery, you may not be able to do that, and it is alright. You are healthier now, that is what is important.

Well done Shy Shark, well done.

Shyshark -

you have nothing to be ashamed of (referring to your edit note.) this is well-written and expresses sentiments that i'm sure many of us can identify with and have often felt.

i have found writing to be very therapeutic. the process itself helps me sort out my thoughts and emoptions and identify and connect them. and sharing it helps too - in another way - as others respond and affirm you. please let me gently encourage you to keep on writing and keep on sharing. it benefits us as well as you.
