But I would never show it to anyone and be like "here, this will teach you about it." I guess I would say it gets some of the emotions and frustrations right but not really the causes or mechanisms, if that makes sense. _________________________ I was the target, not the problem.

Which is the one? Is it the one with Brad Pitt? I worked pretty hard on this stuff some years ago. I had about a dozen. Mostly children. My T taught me deep relaxation, in which I could call them out and listen to music and persuade them to integrate. It worked beautifully. Finally I had 2: Adult and boy 12-years-old. They were about 85% resolved by EMDR with a lot of loose memory tags. However, last night as I was about to go to sleep I felt that feeling, maybe that you're talking about.
