Hey Dude,
I hoped someone with more experience would jump in here to support you. I, when younger, felt quite a bit of emotional angst when I was confronted with gay disclosure and then people treating me in feminine ways. I felt as if the loss of my masculine identity was chained to my gay orientation. I later became much more secure in my self Identity and didn't worry so much about the others opinions and relished self love and defiance of other shame.
If you do it, and it bothers you, mention it to a therapist. Many great men have done it, Many straight men have done it.
Dealing with it in non-dangerous ways is what is important. I care not what gender you clothe your body in, I care even less what sex your gender proclaims. I care if YOU are OK. Spend some time talking it over with trustworthy friends and if you are ashamed of it try to get over it. If you are threatened by it...get some help. Good Luck
